      About Us

      Our History

      These were our humble beginnings; Ivy Street Greenhouses. My beautiful Momma and I circa 1997. We sold trees (holy cow $10?), hanging baskets, veggie starts, and annuals at our Ivy Street location. When Mom and Dad sold this property we moved the greenhouse to our farm on Zimmerman Road. 

      Our farm is where my husband has been growing wholesale B & B nursery stock with his father since the 1970’s. 

      Here We Grow

      In 2020, we opened Rutz Family Farms. At the time, we never planned to open retail at the farm. Our plan was to do farmers markets, but COVID changed some of our plans and here we are! 

      We Keep Growing

      Today we’ve expanded to 3 large greenhouses and a much larger selection of trees and shrubs. We grow nearly 350 hanging baskets and patio pots annually. 

      Our family  has expanded as well, this truly is a family farm with multiple generations of nursery growers. Thank you, friends, for all your support and business through the years. We plan to keep growing and continue this family tradition for years to come!
